Thank you for expressing interest in donating blood with the American Red Cross. The Red Cross relies on volunteer blood donors to provide lifesaving treatment to patients in need. Your one donation may help save more than one life.
Often, generous people make their first blood donation after a tragedy or natural disaster occurs. But it’s the blood already on the shelves that is used during an emergency. Watch this brief video to understand why it’s vital to keep a steady blood supply at all times.
When you’re ready to schedule your own donation, you can quickly make an appointment online. It’s that easy! Please use Sponsor Code KofC636 to search for our drive and schedule:

You may still donate after receiving a COVID-19 vaccination. Knowing the name of the manufacturer is critical in determining your blood donation eligibility.
The American Red Cross is testing all donations for COVID-19 antibodies for a limited time. Results may indicate an antibody response after receiving a COVID-19 vaccine or possible past exposure to this coronavirus – and may identify donations with antibody levels necessary to potentially help COVID-19 patients with a weakened immune system. Only those feeling healthy and well should present to donate, and appointments are strongly encouraged. Test results will be available to donors via the American Red Cross Blood Donor App or at RedCrossBlood.org within one to two weeks.
The Red Cross follows a high standard of safety and infection control. For the safety of our donors and staff, the Red Cross will require all those at blood drives and blood donation centers to wear face masks regardless of their vaccination status. Valve face masks are not permitted. Face shields can be worn in addition to face masks but not as a substitute.
